Shop for Good Sunday is the day to support brands that do good for people and the planet—the growing number of businesses that have a core mission beyond profit. Like a candle company where all products are made by refugees now building a brighter future for their families. Or circular economy pioneers making lifetime-guaranteed bags out of upcycled airplane seats, saving tons of useful material from landfills. Or a stylish women’s fashion brand founded to empower women in Uganda and send them to college. This is a really exciting time.  The number of companies like these is starting to explode.  So much so that they have a lot of different names now: social enterprises, social impact companies, socially responsible businesses, ethical/sustainable brands… Whatever you call them, supporting brands like these makes a huge impact and sends a powerful message—all year round, and especially on Shop for Good Sunday.

Why We Created Shop for Good Sunday

DoneGood is a social enterprise that works to make it easy for people to find and support brands that make the world better. We believe that the money we spend is the world's greatest, most underutilized force for social change.  Together we spend trillions of dollars buying stuff every year—if even a fraction of that money can automatically help alleviate poverty, fight climate change, and otherwise make the world better, the impact is huge! Of course, the holidays are by far the time we spend the most money.  Which means the most wonderful time of the year can also be the most impactful. There’s already Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday—but nothing good on the Sunday!  And no dedicated day to supporting businesses that are on a mission to do good for the world. So we teamed up with a few dozen of our favorite mission-driven brands to create Shop for Good Sunday.

All About Doing Good

There’s no cost for brands to participate in Shop for Good Sunday.  And DoneGood is donating ALL of the revenue we earn on Shop for Good Sunday through our platform to two of our favorite non-profits: Oxfam America and 1% For The Planet!
